My Two Dads!

Hi, my name is Rachel *** and I am in your BIOL 1010 class that meets MWF at 2:30-3:20. I came across this article and thought it was interesting and would be appropriate for an extra credit article. I don't remember if you said there was a specific place to post this on the moodle site or if we should just email them to you, but please let me know if there is a different way I should submit these. Thank you! By using stem cell technology, scientists were able to create offspring using two male parents. However, a female surrogate was necessary in order to carry the offspring to full term. While mice were utilizes as specimens in this case, humans may one day be able to create offspring using two male parents. http://www.biologynews.net/archives/2010/12/09/reproductive_scientists_create_mice_from_2_fathers.html
