Dear Professor Palmer, Here are 2 articles about teachers' position on the idea of Creationism being taught in the science classrooms. As as firm believer and Christian, I always felt no desire to have an interest in science (specifically evolution) because Creationism tends to be rejected in the science realm. If what I believe in is being reject, why should I care at all about evolution? I firmly think that teaching Creationism/Intelligent Design in a science class should have no negative affect on the Theory of Evolution or science because the two are very different from each other. It should not be a problematic situation. In addition, doing so may increase the level of interest in talking or learning about evolution among believers.
